Meet The Founder​

My name is Hana, and I'm a local small business owner in Sonoma County with a passion for bringing people together and making a difference. My own journey hasn't always been easy. Growing up, I didn't have what many would consider an ideal upbringing. I spent part of my childhood in Hawaii and later found myself navigating life's challenges while trying to understand where I belonged and what my purpose might be.

But along the way, something meaningful happened. People showed up for me.

 

I still remember my first-grade teacher, who made sure I had food, attention, and encouragement when I needed it. I remember the kindness of a local religious organization and the love shown to me by church members, friends, and families who made me feel valued. Those experiences stayed with me. They taught me that sometimes the smallest gestures can leave the greatest impact. That being seen, supported, and cared for can make a difference far beyond the moment itself.

As I grew older, I began to recognize how many people face challenges without the support systems or resources they need. I also saw how much good can happen when people simply come together and decide to help.

 

That's why I founded Raising Funds 2 Do Good.

I wanted to create an organization that could respond to needs within our community, whether that means helping a young person find opportunity, supporting a family through a difficult season, or partnering with another organization doing meaningful work. I don't believe we have to solve every problem to make a difference. Sometimes we just have to recognize a need and be willing to do something about it.

My hope is that through Raising Funds 2 Do Good, we can create more of those moments of kindness, connection, and opportunity that once made such a difference in my own life.
